Omaha 16U team wins Midwest Championship

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club , proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are the 2012-2013 Midwest Tier 1 Champions.

 

Omaha AAA U16 defeated Russell Stover U16 in 2 straight games in a best of 3 series played in Omaha , Nebraska March 1-2 , 2013. 

 

Game 1 - Omaha AAA U16 - 5, Russell Stover U16 - 0

 

Omaha got goals from 5 different players. Ethen Frank (Omaha , Ne) paced the attack with a goal and 2 assists. Omaha outshot.  Russell Stover 39-14 in the game and Nathan Churchill (Lafayette, Ca) earned the shutout for the Omaha AAA U16 Team. 

 

Game #2 - Omaha AAA U16 - 6, Russell Stover U16 - 2 

 

Omaha again got goals from 6 different players. Patrick Grasso led the way offensively with a goal and 2 assists. Omaha outshot Russell Stover again by a wide margin 36-10 and Nathan Churchill earned the win for a 2nd straight night for Omaha.

 

Omaha now advances to the Central District Regional in Fond Du Lac , Wisconsin March 15-17 , 2013. Omaha AAA will face Team Wisconsin, St Louis Blues and The Chicago Mission.
