PHL supports 'Try Hockey for Free' Day
Programs of all kinds, including the North American Prospects Hockey League (PHL), North American Hockey League (NAHL) and North American 3 Hockey League (3HL), have joined together with USA Hockey to offer Try Hockey For Free Day on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
Local rinks throughout the country will be hosting a “Try Hockey” clinic for children between the ages of 4 to 9 years old. For more information or to register for a location near you, visit www.TryHockeyForFree.com.
As a part of an initiative to help grow the game of hockey, the PHL, NAHL and 3HL are committed in assisting USA Hockey and over 400 local programs across the country, as they encourage kids, ages 4 to 9, to come to a local participating rink and try youth hockey as part of the NHL's Come Play Hockey Month.
Try Hockey For Free Day is part of Come Play Hockey Month. This program, designed to provide youth hockey associations a national platform to introduce new kids to the sport, is a joint?effort between USA Hockey and its members, the National Hockey League, and NHL member clubs.
With Total Hockey and Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports, the official sponsors of Try Hockey For Free Day, USA Hockey has 500 locations offering kids between the ages of 4 and 9 years old this unique opportunity.
Please contact the local participating host site with any questions or USA Hockey at (719) 538-1124 or ComePlayYouthHockey@usahockey.org.
