Biggby Coffee 7 @ Wasatch Renegades 3 -
Biggby’s offensive pressure was evident throughout the entirety of the game, outshooting Wasatch 70-14. The staggering shot differential showed that Wasatch was struggling to generate offensive opportunities. Despite inconsistent offensive efforts, Wasatch goaltender Kolton Shoemaker kept the team extremely competitive, recording 63 saves on 70 shots. Biggby’s defensive crew was able to find a way to contribute offensively as well, with defensemen Trenton Johnson and Luka Kasper adding two onto the board. 28 penalty minutes, 22 of them served by Connor Briley, did not stop Biggby from securing the win. Briley received multiple penalties following his back to back goals. Jacob Findlay tried to find an answer to Biggby’s competitive offense, capitalizing on a 2-on-1 opportunity. The Renegades were gaining momentum, which was soon ended by defender Maddox Kincaid, who stopped a potential breakaway in the third and got the puck back over the red line. Noah Beck then wasted no time, and as soon as the puck hit his stick, he was able to find the back of the net. Beck’s quick finish helped Biggby regain control of the momentum, as the team continued their offensive push and ultimately achieved the 7-3 victory.
Team North Dakota T1 2 @ Indiana Elite 1 (OT) -
Team North Dakota T1 battled back from an early deficit to secure the win over Indiana Elite in overtime fashion. Indiana Elite started the game off strong with forward Ethan Okeley capitalizing on an early breakaway goal following a faceoff win. North Dakota struggled to get the puck into the net, remaining scoreless throughout the first two periods. However, the team continued to push and were able to find a solution in the third thanks to Wyatt Mattson recovering the rebound straight into the back of the net. The goal followed a defensive miscue for Indiana Elite, allowing North Dakota to generate the breakaway opportunity. The initial shot may have missed, but Mattson was right there to recover the rebound and score. Neither team was able to find a second goal during regulation, leading to overtime. With a shootout seemingly on the horizon, Maxwell Gooselaw pushed through defensive pressure and lifted North Dakota to the 2-1 victory with just 1:17 remaining in overtime.

The Jr. Titans answered almost immediately, cutting the deficit to 4-2. Brycen Crowley then gave the Titans momentum back, cutting the Knights’ lead to just one in the third by tapping the puck right between the goalie’s legs. The game was now within reach. Less than two minutes later, Jason Peckham found the back of the net to even the score, tying the game 4-4. However, the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights were not finished. They were able to recover thanks to a goal by Jacob Kercher with just 1:29 remaining in the game. Kercher delivered when it mattered most, being rewarded with his first goal of the season.
