Reed Besonen Signs NAHL Tender Agreement

The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the New Hampshire Mountain Kings of the NAHL and the Carshield AAA18U defenseman Reed Besonen. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season. 

During the 2025-26 NAT1HL season, the Buffalo, Minnesota native played a huge role in the defensive success of the Carshield AAA 18U team. 

During the last five games of the NAT1HL season, Besonen and his team only allowed 3 goals. In the five games, the team also recorded three straight shutouts to help secure their spot in the Dixon Cup Championship. 

The best offensive performance of the season from Besonen came on Oct. 18 against team North Dakota. Besonen recorded an assist on the game winning goal for Carshield. 

Besonen is one of twelve players from the Carshield AAA 18U team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2026 NAHL Draft
