Braydon Hunter Signs NAHL Tender Agreement
The NAPHL’s T1ER League is excited to announce the tender agreement signed between the Chippewa Steel of the NAHL and the Indiana Elite 18U AAA defenseman Braydon Hunter. The agreement will carry through the end of the 2026-27 season.
During the 2025-26 NAT1HL season, Hunter was a reliable player on the backend for Indiana as the Fort Wayne, Indiana native played in all 17 games for his team during the NAT1HL season.
Hunter displayed his versatility and found great success on both sides of the puck. On the offensive side this season, the 2007 birth year totalled 10 points which leaves him tied for third in points for all defensemen.
The most impressive performance by the 6-foot-2 blueliner came in Indiana’s season opener against Coer d’Alene Hockey Academy on Sept. 25. Hunter recorded a goal and an assist all while locking down the opponent and holding them to only one goal.
Indiana Elite was victorious by a score of 5-1. That win helped kickstart a great season for Indiana as the team made it all the way to the Dixon Cup Championship game.
So far this season Hunter has played in three games for the Chippewa Steel.
Hunter is one of seven players from the Indiana Elite 18U AAA team to sign a tender agreement with a NAHL team this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the T1ER - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2026 NAHL Draft.
