SHOW Final Face-Off Wraps Up an Incredible Season

January 20, 2026
by Sean DeCoursey, Alex Crowe

The SHOW Final Face-Off Championship delivered thrilling action and unforgettable moments across every division. A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, and families for an incredible season. Congratulations to all the winners, and to every team for an amazing effort. Check out the full championship results here.

18U Gold:

With their win over the Seventh Fire Eagles, the Orland Park Vikings secured their second championship in three years in the 18U SHOW Gold Division Championship game. Both teams played an excellent hockey game, but ultimately it was the Vikings who were able to convert on a late power play and win this game in regulation. The first period came and went with no score, and shots were 12-5 in favor of the Vikings. In the second period, Moe Ktytor took a holding penalty that sent the Vikings to a power play. About 30 seconds into the man advantage, Nick Seaman lit the lamp on a feed from Jake Sulek and gave his squad the first lead of the game. Minutes later, The Eagles got sent to their first power play and Landen Hanson tied the game with a shot through the goaltenders five hole. Vincent Cozzi cleaned up a rebound to regain the Vikings lead before the second intermission. In need of the tying goal, Hanson scored his second of the contest with a sneaky shot over the blocker after getting in alone on the netminder. With 8:27 remaining in the third period, Hanson took a tripping penalty that gave the Vikings a massive power play opportunity. With 30 seconds remaining in the man advantage, Seaman scored another goal with an all-world one time shot that beat the goaltender short side. The final buzzer sounded, the equipment went flying, and the Vikings were victorious. This game was as evenly matched as you can get. Shots were almost even, each team had one individual that accounted for a lot, if not all of their scoring, and both goaltenders stood quite strong throughout. In this bout, it was the Vikings that seized the ultimate opportunity and left with the Championship banner.

18U Silver:

The Midwest Blackbirds took home the 18U SHOW Silver Division championship with a big win over North Broward Prep. Despite firing fewer shots and spending a similar amount of time on the power play, the Blackbirds capitalized on plenty of opportunities and took home the ‘W.’ Tommy Isbister got the day started for NBP with a power play goal. Not even a minute later, Kameron Hordos evened the score short-handed. With another short-handed opportunity, this time for NBP, Arseny Yuferev buried the biscuit to regain their lead. With a minute ten remaining in the first frame, Lorenzo Teodori put on the moves and beat the goaltender to even the score yet again before the intermission. The second period was deceptively quiet for the first fifteen minutes, but Dylan Rose broke the silence with a power play goal for the Blackbirds. A minute and a half later, Isbister scored his second tally of the contest, this time short-handed. In the final minute and a half of the second frame, Nicholas Kutka and Jackson Alilovich went back-to-back to gain the lead and tack on some insurance before the second intermission. In the third period, Connor Friesema scored the sixth Blackbird goal of the game that was quickly answered by Cooper Emerson for NBP. Kutka then scored his second goal of the game in the final seconds, and the Blackbirds were victorious. The Blackbirds had two skaters log three-point games with four total multi-point outings. When the offense is rolling like that, there are few teams that will be able to match that effort and surmount that type of production. Paired with the ability to close out and maintain their lead, the Blackbirds rolled out the red carpet for the Championship win with no doubt at the end of the contest.

16U Gold:

The Anaheim Jr. Ducks skated away with the SHOW 16U Gold Championship Monday morning, taking down the Jacksonville Jr. Iceman by a final score of 6-2. Roger Kapner and Carter Brown led the Jr. Ducks to victory in the championship game, both potting two goals to secure the title for Anaheim. Anaheim controlled the pace in the game, outshooting Jacksonville 21-13. Kapner got the Jr. Ducks going in the first period, posting both his goals in the back half of the frame to give his squad a 2-0 lead heading to the second period. The goals were Kapner’s fifth and sixth of the event. The Jr. Ducks kept the offense rolling into the second period. Brown (third) notched the eventual game-winning goal to extend the lead to 3-0. Connor Place (third) put another goal on the board for Anaheim just 25 seconds after Brown’s goal, giving the Ducks a comfortable 4-0 lead. The Icemen finally stopped the bleeding just before the end of the middle frame. Liam Campbell (seventh) cut the deficit to three goals with 2:31 left in the second period. His goal stood as the last of the period to send the game to the final frame with Anaheim ahead 4-1. Brady Lawton (third) dashed any hope of an Icemen comeback with just under 12 ticks to go in the game to restore Anaheim’s four-goal lead. The teams traded goals in the final 10 minutes, scored by Hayden Brasiel (sixth) and Brown’s (fourth) second tally of the game to finalize the 6-2 championship-clinching win for the Jr. Ducks.

15U/16U Silver:

The Geneva Cyclones captured the SHOW 15U/16U Silver championship Monday morning, downing in-state rival Lake County Vipers by a final score of 4-1. Colton Piacenza came through for the Cyclones in the championship, posting two goals including the empty-net dagger with just over a minute to play. The teams battled to a scoreless stalemate in the opening period with Lake County holding the narrow edge in shots at 10-7. The Vipers broke the ice early in the second period. Bennett Forman notched his 13th goal of the event to give Lake County the lead. Piacenza and the Cyclones responded in the waning minutes of the period. Piacenza (ninth) knotted the game at one goal apiece with 6:21 to go. Tristan Bohr (12th) then gave Geneva its first lead of the game via the power play two minutes later to send the Cyclones to the final period leading 2-1. The Vipers pressed the attack in the third period, looking for the equalizer. But Cyclones goaltender Sam Gehrmann and the rest of the Geneva defense held Lake County at bay. Liam Petrovich (first) provided the back-breaker with just over two minutes left to extend the Cyclones’ lead to 3-1. Piacenza then buried the empty-netter with 1:10 left to secure the Championship for Geneva.

14U:

Stellar performances from goaltender Jackson Vreeland and forward Brenden Krzysiak propelled the West Dundee Leafs to the NAPHL 14U championship with a 6-3 victory over in-state foe Chicago Hawks. Vreeland and Krzysiak each stole the show in their respective ends of the ice in the championship victory. Vreeland made 28 saves on 31 Chicago shots while Krzysiak tallied two goals for the Leafs in the win. Krzysiak got the Leafs going early in the first period, scoring both his goals within the first 10 minutes of the game – with one via the power play. The goals were his ninth and 10th of the event. The Hawks had a response late in the opening period. A power-play goal off the stick of Jackson Adams (eighth) cut the West Dundee lead to 2-1 heading to the second period. The Leafs power play flexed its muscles again in the middle frame. Power-play goals from Mason August (second) and Phinneas Draxinger (second) late in the period extended the West Dundee lead to 4-1. Torston Wood (seventh) got Chicago back within two goals with a minute to go in the period, but the Hawks could not escape the period.. Nolan Meuser (eighth) scored with just 11 seconds left in the period to give West Dundee its three-goal lead back heading to the final period. The Hawks found life in the form of a Nick Faust power-play goal (seventh) with just over 11 minutes left in the game. Faust’s goal was the closest Chicago got to a comeback, as Vreeland and the West Dundee defense closed the door the rest of the way –while adding a short-handed goal from Dominic Leone (fourth) late – to secure the 6-3 win and the SHOW 14U Championship.
