Day 4 Action Wraps Up FALL League’s Second Event

18U:
Kenai River Brown Bears
The Kenai River Brown Bears improved their perfect to 3-0 over the winless Minnesota Wilderness. The Brown Bears light up the scoreboard with 6 goals and 5 different goal scorers. Drew Doyle was the only player with multiple goals, scoring 2. Eddy Dropps, Brody Lockman, Nolan Border, and Alexander Udd were the other goal scorers with 1 apiece. In the back for the Brown Bears, Noah Duerr saved 18 of 19 shots on goal, only allowing 1 in. Duerr finished with a 94% save percentage in a 6-1 win over the Wilderness to extend the Brown Bears win streak to 3.
St. Cloud Norsemen
The St. Cloud Norsemen hand the Fairbanks Ice Dogs their first loss in a thriller that ended in a shootout. Before the shootout the Norsemen scored 3 times with 2 different scorers. Brandon Lorenti scored twice and Carter Bakeberg scored other goal. The goalie for the Norsemen, Christopher Ernster, went 32/35 on saves, a save percentage of 91%. Ernster was also perfect in the shootout to seal the win for the Norsemen. Noah Thurston and Austin Slettom were the 2 goal scorers in the shootout to win for the Norsemen. The St. Cloud Norsemen pick up a big win over the once undefeated Fairbanks Ice Dogs, 4-3.

Chippewa Steel
The Chippewa Steel picked up a win to push their win streak to 4, as well as improving their undefeated record to 4-0 with a win over the winless Minnesota Mallards. The Steel scored 9 times with 6 different goal scorers. Ty Haats was the only player to score multiple goals with 4 goals, the other goal scorers were: Mason Flannery, Cooper Marincel, Quentyn Crotteau, Jeff Lenfant, and Devon Shier each having a goal apiece. In the back for the Steel, their goalie Frank Petz went 13/16 on saves allowing 3 in. With a 81% save percentage, the Steel continue their win streak with a big win over the Minnesota Mallards 9-3.
Minnesota Wilderness
The Minnesota Wilderness had a dominant performance over the Janesville Jets to improve their record to 3-1. The Wilderness scored 10 times with 8 different goal scorers. Scott Simmons and Mikael Barnard were the only players with multiple scores scoring 2 each. Eliason Filby, Jacob Roed, Chase Klavu, Noah Schwab, Maximillian Milovidov, and Finley Kuzmuk were the other goal scorers with 1 apiece. In the back for the Wilderness, Andrew Brovold saved 27 of the 30 shots taken on him, having a save percentage of 90%, only allowing 3 in. The Wilderness score double digits in a big win over the Jets 10-3.
With the second FALL League event complete, teams now look ahead to the FALL Finals, taking place October 31 through November 3 in Blaine.
