Fairbanks Ice Dogs
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs move to 3-0 with a dominant win over the Oklahoma Warriors, giving them their first loss. The Ice Dogs scored 10 times in this game with 8 different goal scorers. Jack Fitzgerald and Garrett Fischer were the only players to have multiple goals with 2 each. Nate Peterson, Joe Howe, Tyson Miller, Griffin Bonk, Tyler Sporney, and Christian Erickson all had a goal apiece. The Odessa Jackalopes improved their perfect record to 3-0 in a win over the Kenai River Brown Bears. The Jackalopes put the puck in the back of the net 7 times with only 4 different goal scorers. Eli Mattila, Mason King, and Benny Abbott each scored 2 goals and Will Schneider had the other goal. Cooper Saari assisted on 5 of those goals. Evan Madsen saved 22/24 shots on goal for the Jackalopes only allowing 2 in. Madsen saved 91% of the shots taken on him in a dominant win for the Jackalopes to continue their win streak and to hold onto their perfect record.
Minnesota Wilderness
The Minnesota Wilderness win in an overtime thriller to hand the St. Cloud Norsemen their first loss. The Wilderness scored 7 times in the game with 5 different goal scorers. Brody Bender and Mitchell Niko were the only players with multiple goals, scoring 2 apiece. Dane Hoffbauer, Scott Simmons, and Finley Kuzmuk were the other scorers, each scoring once. Brody Bender and Mitchell Niko also had 2 assists, as well as Hendrik Mills. In overtime Finley Kuzmuk scored the game winner with just 15 seconds remaining. In the back for the Wilderness, Liam Sundell saved 42 of 48 shots, allowing 6 in. With a saved percentage of 87%. The Wilderness win an overtime thriller over the Norsemen 7-6.
