The Pittsburgh Stars AAA Hockey Club of the North American Prospects Hockey League Tier I (NAT1HL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Ian Morganti has signed a NAHL Junior A tender agreement with the Springfield Jr Blues.

The 2024-25 season was Morganti’s fourth season with the Stars’ program and first with the Stars’ U18 Midget Major squad.

The (5'11" / 165 lbs.) 18-year-old “senior to be” from Rimersburg, PA, registered 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists), in 20 NAT1HL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances this past season for the 18U Stars. Overall, Morganti tallied 39 points (20 goals, 19 assists), including five power play goals, in 68 games played for the Midget Major Stars.

He was also selected to participate in the NAT1HL’s Top Prospects Showcase, where he posted an assist in four games played.

During the 2023-24 season, Morganti registered 1 point (1 assist), in 12 NAPHL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances and overall tallied 22 points (10 goals, 27 assists), including two powerplay goals, in 66 games played for the Stars 16U squad.

During the 2022-23 season, Morganti registered 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists), in 13 NAPHL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances and overall tallied 45 points (13 goals, 32 assists), including three shorthanded goals, in 56 games played for the U15 Stars.

During the 2021-22 season, Morganti registered 13 points (9 goals, 4 assists), in 20 NAPHL regular season and Dixon Cup playoff appearances and 49 points (25 goals, 24 assists), including four powerplay goals and two shorthanded goals, in 53 games played overall for the U14 Bantam Major Stars.

"Ian is an outstanding center,” said Pittsburgh Stars 18U Head Coach Dave Kosick, “who plays a 200-foot game. His skill set can be an asset on both sides of the puck for the Junior Blues.”

He is one of eight players from the Stars' organization to sign an NAHL tender for the 2025-26 season.
