NAHL Wraps Up Combine Season with Final Event in Southern California

The fifth and final North American Hockey League (NAHL) Combine of the 2024–25 season takes place this weekend at the state-of-the-art Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena in Irvine, California. Over 350 junior and 16U prospects will take the ice for four competitive games, receiving real-time coaching and direct evaluation from NAHL and NA3HL staff—offering a true inside look at the NAHL experience.
The Southern California Combine is officially sold out, with participation now limited to cancellations only.
What to Expect at an NAHL Combine:
The NAHL Combine provides players and families with a comprehensive introduction to junior hockey, centered around three core pillars:
-
Education – Seminars on the USA Hockey development ladder, the NAHL/NCAA pathway, academic planning, and NCAA compliance.
-
Exposure – High-level competition in front of scouts from the NAHL, NA3HL, NCAA, and ACHA. NAHL staff are actively coaching and evaluating.
-
Experience – Four competitive games with immediate feedback from league staff, played in a professional setting among like-minded prospects.
NAHL staff will be on-site throughout the weekend to support families and answer questions. Attendees will also benefit from the NAHL Recruiting Seminar, providing insight into navigating the junior and college hockey landscape.
“Being in a non-traditional but hockey-rich SoCal market is always a great opportunity for our players to showcase themselves,” said Dennis Vickers, NAHL Director of Player Personnel. “With the continued growth of our sport and the presence of Pacific District players in the NA and NA3, this is a fantastic platform for players to take that next step. We work hard to create events that benefit both players and scouts—and SoCal is a perfect example of that.”
