NAPHL 2024-25 Season Kicks Off with Exciting Fall League Event

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is set to commence its 2024-25 season with the first event of the NAPHL FALL League, running from September 13-15, 2024, at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. This marks the beginning of the 16th season of the NAPHL and the 4th season of the FALL League.

Designed for U18 and U16 High School players looking for exposure in the NAHL, the FALL League provides an invaluable opportunity for players to compete in a structured league format before the Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, & Michigan high school hockey seasons begin. The league aims to offer high-caliber competition and exposure in a condensed time frame, ensuring that players are well-prepared for their upcoming high school season.

Event Schedule and Coverage

The FALL League will feature three key events, all hosted at the Super Rink in Blaine, MN:

  1. September 13-15, 2024: The opening event kicks off the FALL League season.
  2. September 26-29, 2024: This event will be held in conjunction with the NAHL Showcase, providing additional exposure opportunities.
  3. October 11-14, 2024: The final event, the FALL League Playoff Championship, will determine the top teams of the league.

Fans and scouts can follow the action live via NAHLTV.com, and up-to-date schedules and scores for the 18U and 16U divisions are available online www.naphl.com/game-center/menu/.

Enhanced Competition and Development

Teams participating in the NAPHL FALL League are organized, branded, and ran by NAHL teams, including the Austin Bruins, Chippewa Steel, Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Janesville Jets, Kenai River Brown Bears, Minnesota Mallards, Minnesota Wilderness, New Hampshire Mountain Kings, North Iowa Bulls, Odessa Jackalopes, St. Cloud Norsemen, and Wisconsin Windigo. This setup not only enhances competition but also increases visibility to the NAHL for these participating players.

The league also includes educational components, such as seminars on the NAHL junior hockey experience, the development ladder, and NCAA compliance. These sessions aim to prepare players for the next stages of their hockey & junior hockey careers.

A Proven Path to Advancement

The NAPHL continues to demonstrate its effectiveness as a development and training ground for aspiring hockey players. Year after year, the NAPHL, FALL, T1ER and SHOW leagues continue to issue record numbers of players that move on to be tendered & drafted into the NAHL & NA3HL. During the 2023-2024 season, over 200+ NAPHL alumni were active in the NAHL.

The 2024 NAHL Draft saw 23 NAPHL players/alumni selected, while a record 75 (10+ FALL) players who competed in the NAPHL during the 2023-24 season signed NAHL tenders for the upcoming 2023-24 season. This underscores the NAPHL’s role in fostering talent and providing pathways to higher levels of hockey.

As the season begins, the NAPHL FALL League is poised to deliver high-level competition and valuable opportunities for its players. With an emphasis on exposure, development, and progression, the league remains a cornerstone for young hockey talent aspiring to advance in their junior hockey careers.
