SHOW LEAGUE ANNOUNCES 2024-25 SCHEDULE

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) SHOW League proudly announces its dates and locations for the 2024-2025 Season. The posted dates and locations are strategically placed in venues to enhance exposure, development and player advancement. The SHOW League is composed of some of the top USA Hockey Tier I & Tier II National Bound programs from around the country.

The SHOW League has been instrumental in providing a platform for developing players to showcase their talents for junior and college hockey scouts to progress in their careers. The increased opportunities for SHOW players to advance to leagues like NAHL, NA3HL, and the T1ER league demonstrate the effectiveness of the league in developing, exposing and advancing players. The SHOW League also boasts 2 USA Hockey Tier II National Champions from this past season.  

The exclusive tendering system and strategically scheduled events are key components contributing to the success of the SHOW League. By providing internal exposure opportunities and organizing events strategically, the league ensures that players have the best possible chance to showcase their skills and catch the attention of coaches and scouts.

To date, 55 players have been tendered in the NA3HL from the SHOW League along with 10+ SHOW players being drafted in the NA3HL.

"This continues to reinforce our commitment to providing unparalleled opportunities for player growth and development within our league. Overall, it's great to see our internal initiatives within the SHOW League creating avenues for young hockey players to pursue their dreams and advance in their careers."

The SHOW League events are strategically located in Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Michigan.  All three states chosen for SHOW events have a high concentration of NCAA and ACHA DI, DII, DIII college programs as well as NAHL and NA3HL junior teams to maximize exposure. The locations also make it easy for players and families to schedule college visits while competing in the SHOW League.

The 2024-25 Schedule of Showcase end Exposure Events are listed below:

  • October 11-13, Blaine, MN - SHOW 16 & 18U Teams:  The inclusion of NCAA Academic and Junior Recruiting Seminars further enhances the holistic development of players.
  • November 15-17, Marlborough, MA - SHOW 14, 16 & 18U Teams: The strategic scheduling of events, particularly in November, near numerous NCAA DI, DIII, and many ACHA hockey schools in and around the New England area is very beneficial for exposure and the opportunity to visit schools in the northeast. 
  • January 17-20, Troy/Rochester, MI - SHOW 14, 16 & 18U Teams:  Moreover, the January Championship event coinciding with the NA3HL Tender Distribution underscores the league's commitment to providing unparalleled opportunities for its participants.

In addition to these unparalleled showcase events, select SHOW League players get the opportunity to compete in the SHOW Top Prospects event in conjunction with the Columbus NAHL Combine. The SHOW Top Prospects features four 18U team made of only players from the SHOW league that compete in front dozens of NA3HL and NAHL Scouts.

Just a few of the key features that are in place specifically to aid in the development and advance SHOW League Players are listed below:

  • SHOW League players have access to the NA3HL Tendering system that is exclusive only to the SHOW League
  • SHOW Events are strategically located in Massachusetts, Michigan and Minnesota due to the high concentration of college and junior programs to maximize exposure and to make it easy for families to take college visits while competing
  • A SHOW 18U Top Prospects Event consisting of four 18U teams will compete in conjunction with the NAHL Columbus Combine front dozens of NA3HL and NAHL Scouts
  • Divisions, competition and playoff seeding will be determined by a series of data points utilized by the CBD Rankings (Competition, Balance, & Development)
  • SHOW League and its players receive the full support of the NAHL hockey operations and marketing staff.
  • NAHL technologies such as NAStat, NAScout and NATV are being used to maximize player marketing and exposure.

No other Tier I & II youth hockey league has the support and the resources of the NAHL behind it with the common mission to develop players to one day play college hockey.
