SHOW 18, 16U teams complete event in Blaine
The NAPHL concluded its eighth event of the 2022-23 season on Monday with the final day of games in Blaine.
The 18U and 16U teams took to the ice for one final game on Monday morning.
Day 4 recaps
16U Division: Clearwater Ice Storm defeated the Arizona Hockey Union in a 10-2 final. George Brklijacic totalled 5 points and Preston Peterson with 4 points in the game. Goaltender Oliver Spaulding stopped 28 shots. The Texas Tigers picked up a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Titans Elite squad. Four different Tigers scored and goaltender Wyatt Wilhelm picked up the win in net. The Flordia Jr. Everblades topped the St. Louis Sting, 7-3. Forward Maksim Paulikas added two points with a goal and an assist. Chase O’Dea got the start in net and took the win turning away 24 shots.
18U Division: The Anaheim Jr. Ducks took down the Jersey Whalers in a 9-1 contest. Brandon Grant scored a hat-trick and goaltender Nick Cowles earned the win in net. The Clearwater Ice Storm picked up a 12-2 win over the Arizona Hockey Union. Benjamin Gentry added 3 goals and an assist for 4 points. Mikhail Dumenko picked up the win in net stopping 5 shots. St. Mary’s edged past the St. Louis Sting in a close contest, 4-3. Robert Bird added two goals and Luke Brandon had two assists. Luc Caron was great in net, turning away 56 shots. The Madison Capitols took a 6-2 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Ethan Christofferson and Owen Meyer both had a 3 point game. Netminder Seamus Koehan took the win in net.
