NAPHL concludes T1ER Showcase in Pittsburgh
The sixth NAPHL event of the 2021-22 regular season concluded on Sunday in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with the first T1ER League Eastern Conference event of the season.
Day 3 on Sunday featured the final games of the event as the sixth showcase of the 2021-22 regular season came to a close.
Each team played in four games during the event, which ran from November 19-21.
Founded in 2009 and celebrating its 13th season in 2021-22, the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is the NAPHL is the premier training ground for development, exposure, and opportunity. During the 2021-22 season, the NAPHL is made up of four different leagues: Tier 1, Fall, Showcase (Tier II), and Prep (High School).
Day 3 Highlights
16U Division: Seven games were scheduled for the final day of the NAPHL T1ER East Conference Showcase. In the opening game, Jeff Slivon netted a hat-trick for the Tri-State Spartans and goaltender Riley Martin was perfect to get a 6-0 shutout over the PHA Icemen. The Philadelphia Little Flyers netminder Aries Carangi earned a shutout against the East Coast Spartans, 8-0. Biggby Coffee AAA topped the Indy Jr. Fuel with a 3-2 final score. The Esmark Stars took down the Northeast Generals by a statement 13-2 win. Aaron Stawiarski recorded four goals and an assist, Aiden Briggs totaled 6 points (2G, 4A), while Nathan Burlando and Zakary Wilcox both recorded four points in the game (2G, 2A). The New Jersey Jr. Titans took a win over the New Hampshire Avalanche 6-2.
18U Division: Nine games were scheduled for the final day of the NAPHL T1ER East Conference Showcase. The New Jersey Whalers topped the Tri-State Spartans by a final of 3-1. The Tri-Valley Bulls shutout the New Jersey Jr. Titans by a final score of 5-0. The 95 Giants picked up a win over the East Coast Spartans by a 6-2 final. Matt Pedersen recorded a hat-trick in the win. The Philadelphia Little Flyers defeated the Northeast Generals 7-2. The PHA Icemen won against the Philadelphia Little Flyers 6-2 with the help of Drake Tomak netting 4 goals in the game. The New Jersey Jr. Titans picked up a win over the New Hampshire Avalanche, 4-1. The Maine Nordiques edged past the Skipjacks, 4-3. Connor Miller recorded a hat-trick in the win for the Nordiques. The Esmark Stars took a 4-1 win over the Indy Jr. Fuel. Hunter Fairmain earned a hat-trick in the final game of the weekend for Esmark. In the last game of the showcase, the Tri-State Spartans shutout Biggby Coffee AAA, 4-0.
