The Des Moines Buccaneers AAA hockey club of the NAPHL are pleased to announce that 18U forward Noah Griswold has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Griswold, 17, is in his first season playing in the NAPHL for Des Moines. The 5’9/181 lbs. native of Lake Villa, IL, has appeared in seven games thus far for the Bucs and recorded 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists). That includes four points in two NAPHL games.
Griswold began the 2020-21 season playing in the NAHL for the St. Cloud Norsemen, where he played in three games in October.
Prior to playing in the NAPHL this season, Griswold played his school hockey in Minnesota for the Academy of Holy Angels for three seasons.
He is the third member of the Des Moines Buccaneers AAA 18U team who has signed an NAHL tender so far this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
