CarShield AAA 18U forward Weber signs NAHL tender
November 12, 2019

The CarShield AAA hockey organization, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 18U forward Coby Weber has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL's South Division.
Weber, 17, is in his first season of playing for the CarShield 18U team and third season overall for CarShield in the NAPHL. So far during the 2019-20 season, the 6’1/170 lbs. native of St. Louis, Missouri, leads the 18U team in scoring with 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists) in 8 games played.
Weber previously played for the CarShield 16U team the two previous seasons. Overall in 41 NAPHL regular season games in his career, he has recorded 25 points.
Weber is the first player from the CarShield 18U team who has signed an NAHL tender this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 2, 2020.
