Everett 18U forward Dubicki signs NAHL tender
January 9, 2019
The Everett Silvertips Elite of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is pleased to announce that 18U forward Cole Dubicki has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Dubicki, 17, is in his third season playing in the NAPHL for Everett. The 5’8/151 lbs. native of Seattle, Washington, currently ranks 2nd in team scoring for the 18U Silvertips Elite with 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists) in 12 games played so far this season.
In the two seasons prior, Dubicki played for Everett’s 16U team in the NAPHL. Last season, he was the team’s leading scorer with 28 points in 17 games played. He was also selected to and played in the 2018 NAPHL 16U All-Star Game, where he also scored a goal.
Overall in 51 career NAPHL games to date, Dubicki has 61 points.
He is the second player for the Everett 18U team to sign an NAHL tender this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2019.
