Shattuck-St. Mary's 18U forward Price signs NAHL tender
April 26, 2018

The Shattuck-St. Mary’s team of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that 18U Midget forward Jayden Price has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Price, 16, played 10 games in the NAPHL this season for the Shattuck-St. Mary’s 18U squad. The 5’11/165 lbs. native of Coto de Caza, California, recorded three goals in 10 regular season games during the 2017-18 season. He also had three points in four Silver Division playoff games.
In 27 overall games this season, he has recorded 20 points.
Prior to this season, Price spent the 2016-17 season with the Shattuck St. Mary’s AA Midget team and previous to that played for both the Los Angeles Jr. Kings Bantam AAA team and Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
Price is the first player from the Shattuck-St. Mary’s program in the NAPHL who has signed an NAHL tender this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 5, 2018.
