18U regular season ramps up at NAHL Showcase
September 23, 2017

It was another exciting day for the NAPHL at the NAHL Showcase on Friday. A record number of over 320 NHL, NCAA and junior scouts have been in attendance through the first three days of the event.
As a part of the event, the High Performance Hockey League (HPHL) is also participating with several crossover games between the two leagues.
Day 1 was as close as it gets between the two leagues and Day 2 was the same.
After Day 1, the NAPHL held a slight 8-7-1 advantage. On Day 2, the HPHL held the edge at the 16U level, while the 18U games were controlled by the NAPHL.
Overall through the two days, the leagues were dead even at 14-14-4 in the 32 games played against one another, which is a true testament to how close the competition was.
Saturday is Day 3 of the event and will feature the beginning of the NAPHL 18U regular season, as team’s pair off against one another.
One of the big advantages of playing in the NAPHL this season is the exclusive NAHL Central Scouting system. It is one of the big reasons that the NAPHL is advancing more and more players on to the NAHL than ever before are the direct benefits associated being directly involved with one another, which includes NAHL Central Scouting. NAHL Central Scouting is dedicated to finding NAPHL hockey players, evaluating them in a true unbiased manner and then organizing and providing that information to NAHL teams. No other midget league in the United States has a system like it, where its primary mission is the advancement of players.
The NAPHL has proved over the years that the league is a great stepping-stone for development and training for young hockey players looking to gain experience and knowledge to work their way up to the National level.
All games will be broadcast live through HockeyTV, the official broadcast provider of the NAPHL.
