Omaha 16U forward Long makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U forward Austen Long has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Colorado College starting in the fall of 2017.
Colorado College is a member of The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
Long is a native of Blaine, Minnesota and is in his first season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. Long is known as a fast powerful forward with toughness and a scoring touch.
So far this year, the winger has amassed 33 goals and 54 assists for 87 points in 62 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U Team that is ranked as one of the top teams in the country.
In NAPHL action this season, Long (5’10/192) has played in 15 games to date and recorded 17 points. He also was selected for and played in the 2014 NAPHL 16U All-Star Game for Team White, which won the contest.
Long is now the 7th member of this years 16U Omaha Team to receive an NCAA Division I Hockey Scholarship joining Ethen Frank (Western Michigan), Casey Gilling (Northern Michigan) , Bryan Yoon (Colorado College) , Jaden Anderson (Lake Superior State) , Nico Blachman (Lake Superior State) and Baron Thompson (Maine).
