Omaha 16U forward Blachman makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League, are please to announce that 16U forward Nico Blachman has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Lake Superior State University starting in the fall of 2017.
Lake Superior State is a member of the Western College Hockey Association (WCHA).
Blachman is a native of Miami, Florida and is in his 1st season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. So far this year , the 6'2 195lb winger has amassed 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points to go along with 51 PIM in 15 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U Team that is again ranked as one of the top teams in the country. Blachman is known as a tough , physical player who can also put up points on the offensive side.
In NAPHL league play , the 16 year old has 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points through the 1st 5 games in Blaine.
Blachman now becomes the 5th member of this years 16U Omaha Team to receive an NCAA Division 1 Hockey Scholarship joining Ethen Frank (Western Michigan) , Casey Gilling (Northern Michigan) , Bryan Yoon (Colorado College) and Jaden Anderson (Lake Superior State).
