Omaha 16U forward Gilling makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U forward Casey Gilling has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Northern Michigan University starting in the fall of 2017. Northern Michigan is a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
Gilling is a native of Gaylord, Michigan and is in his first season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. He played for the Soo Indians 18U program last year.
So far this year, the 6'1/191lbs. Gilling has amassed 2 goals and 8 assists for 10 points in 11 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U Team that is again ranked as one of the top teams in the country.
In NAPHL league play, the 16-year-old has a goal and 4 assists for 5 points through the first 5 games in Blaine.
Gilling is the second member of this years 16U Omaha Team to receive an NCAA Division I Hockey Scholarship joining Ethen Frank (Western Michigan).
