Wings forward Hein makes NCAA Division I commitment

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are proud to announce that incoming Wings forward Ronnie Hein that he has made an NCAA Division I college commitment to Ferris State University. Ferris State competes in the WCHA.
Hein will be entering his rookie season in the NAHL with the Aberdeen Wings after signing a tender last season. During the 2013-2014 season, Hein played for the Lansing Capitals AAA team of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL). He was the 5th leading scorer in the league gathering up 30 points in 23 games played. He scored 16 goals and 14 assists last season.
Hein was named to the NAPHL All-18U 2nd Team during the 2013-14 season. Hein just finished his second season of playing in the NAPHL. During the 2012-13 season, Hein played for the Lansing Capitals 16U team, where he had 20 points in 22 games played. He finished his NAPHL career with 50 points in 45 games played.

The Ferris State University Bulldogs made the NCAA Tournament last season, as well as in 2012 and 2003. In 2012, the FSU Bulldogs made the NCAA Frozen Four. Hein will join the team coached by Bob Daniels who is a two-time AHCA Coach of the Year Award winner. Ferris State University plays home games in Big Rapids, Michigan.
