Omaha 16U goalie Weaver signs NAHL tender

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U Goalie Cole Weaver has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minnesota Magicians. The Magicians compete in the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
The 16-year-old Weaver (6'2/175) hails from Champlin Park, Minnesota and just recently completed his first with the Omaha AAA organization.
Weaver had a very good season for the NAPHL Regular season Champion Omaha AAA 16U Team who also earned a bronze medal at the 2014 USAH U16 Tier 1 National Tournament.
In 46 games played overall he had a record of 36 - 4 - 1 and posted 11 shutouts. He also had a goals against average of 1.54 and a save percentage of 91.2%.
In NAPHL action, Weaver was statistically the best goalie at the 16U level and named to the All-NAPHL 16U 2nd Team for his efforts. He went 11-0 during the regular season and posted a league-best six shutouts and also a .64 goals against average and 95.2% save percentage.
He also was selected and competed in the first ever NAPHL All Star game held this past December in Blaine, Minnesota.
Weaver becomes the astonishing 15th player this season from the Omaha AAA Hockey 18U and 16U teams to sign an NAHL Tender.
He joins Ryan Cagnoni 18U (Corpus Christi), Mason Krueger 18U (Corpus Christi), Tycho Falk 18U (Coulee Region), Matt Pulver 16U (Fairbanks), David Brumm 16U (MN Magicians) , Tyler Doyle 18U (Topeka Roadrunners) , Nathan Medeiros (Topeka Roadrunners) , Ryan Fretwell (Minot Minotauros) , Miles Manson (Minot Minotauros) , Mark Whitney (Michigan Warriors), Matt Nehls (Fairbanks Ice Dogs) , Justin Ketola (Brookings Blizzard) , Luke Lijewski (Brookings Blizzard) and Rhodes Dolan (Wenatchee Wild).
