Omaha 16U forward Frank makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U forward Ethen Frank has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Western Michigan University starting in the fall of 2017.
Western Michigan is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
Frank is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and is in his second season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. This year, the 5'10/180 lbs. Frank amassed 25 goals and 54 assists for 79 points in 74 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U team that finished the year ranked #2 in the country and earned a bronze medal at the USAH National Championships.
In NAPHL league play, the 16-year-old had 9 goals and 18 assists for 27 points in 20 games for the Omaha team which went 19-0-1 in the regular season, finishing in 1st place and winning the 16U regular season crown. In 42 career NAPHL regular season games, Frank has 50 points.
Frank is a tremendous skater who plays a very solid two way game and was a highly sought after prospect by many Division 1 schools.
Frank now becomes the sixth member of this years 16U team in Omaha to receive an NCAA Division 1 Hockey Scholarship joining Tarek Baker (Minnesota), August von Ungern-Sternberg (Brown), Matt Pulver (Air Force) , Wade Allison (Western Michigan) and Van Barr (Western Michigan).
