Philadelphia forward Deputy makes NCAA DI commitment

David Deputy played in the NAPHL during the 2021-22 season and was a tender of the Philadelphia Rebels.
The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward and NAPHL alum David Deputy has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Atlantic Hockey.
Deputy, 18, is in his first season of playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’9/161 lbs. native of Gurnee, IL, currently leads the Rebels in scoring thus far during the 2022-23 season with 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) in 28 games played.
“I am extremely proud and honored to announce my commitment to play division 1 college hockey at RIT. Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have helped me along the way,” stated Deputy on social media.
Deputy played in the NAPHL during the 2021-22 season and was a tender of the Rebels. In 26 games during the regular season, Deputy had 25 points for the Reapers Hockey Association 18U team. He also added five points in four Dixon Cup Playoff games.
Prior to that he also played for Team Illinois and the Highland Park Falcons of the NAPHL SHOW League.
