CarShield AAA 18U defenseman Kimble signs NAHL tender

The CarShield AAA organization of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Lawson Kimble has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Aberdeen Wings of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Kimble, 18, is in his fourth season with the CarShield AAA organization. This year, the 5’11/ 181 lbs. defenseman from Granite City, IL, has scored two goals in 5 games.
Kimble is a product of the CarShiled AAA program playing for the 15U, 16U, and now 18U teams. During the 2021-22 season, Kimble recorded a career-high 10 points in 27 games played and was also selected to and played in the 2021-22 NAPHL 18U All-Star Game.
He played for Team NAHL Combine at the 2022 NAHL 18U Top Prospects Tournament.
He has also played for Granite City High School and appeared in one game with the NAHL’s Janesville Jets.
He is the one of six players to date from the CarShield AAA program who has signed a NAHL tender for the 2022-23 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
