NAPHL Apex Learning Peak Performers announced for Showcase/Prep Divisions
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for Prep and Showcase Division standouts for the month of October. The players were selected based upon their performance at the third NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Blaine, Minnesota from October 18-21, 2019. Stats were based on ALL games played.
Prep Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Talon Sigurdson, Northstar Prep
Northstar Prep forward Talon Sigurdson, 17, recorded eight points in three wins for his club in October. The 6’1/155 lbs. native of Sartell, Minnesota had at least a goal in each of the wins, which included a hat-trick in an 8-1 win over IHA Florida and four points in a 6-3 win over IHA Calgary.

#3 Star: Anthony Menghini, Northstar Prep
Prep Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Jacob Napier, Northstar Prep
Nappier, 16, who only played in two games in October had a big event for undefeated Northstar. The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Lancaster, New York, had a two-goal and three assist effort in an 8-1 win over IHA Florida.

Prep Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Patrick O’Donnell, Pacific Ridge
In four appearances in Blaine, Pacific Ridge goalie Patrick O’Donnell, 17, did not allow a single goal to help his team to a perfect 4-0 record. The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Carlsbad, California, made 12 saves in a 3-0 shutout of Fountain Valley. He then did not allow a goal in split game wins over the Tampa Lightning and IHA Calgary. He finished the event with a 14-save shutout of Prairie Hockey Acamdemy.

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Ben Letto, Highland Park Falcons
Forward Ben Letto, 17, erupted for 12 points in four games to lead the Falcons to a 3-1 record. The 5’10/140 lbs. native of Crystal Lake, Illinois, had four goals in a 9-2 win over South Florida, three points in a 9-1 win over Clearwater, and five points, including four goals in an 11-1 over Park City.

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Joe Lugge, Chesterfield Falcons
Chesterfield Falcons 18U defenseman Joe Jugge, 17, posted six points in four games in Blaine. The 6’3/200 lbs. native of Freeburg, Illinois, had three points in a 7-2 win over the Hyland Hills Jaguars and three assists in a 7-1 win over the Arizona Hockey Union.

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Xavier Amador, Anaheim Jr. Ducks
Amador, 17, did not allow a goal in his two NAPHL appearances in October. The 6’0/200 lbs. native of Whittier, California, made 26 saves in a 3-0 shutout of the Highland Park Falcons and did not allow a goal in a 3-0 split game shutout of the Affton Americans.

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Colin McCready, Littleton Hawks
McCready, 16, helped Littleton to a perfect 4-0 record in October thanks to eight points in four wins, which included seven goals and one assist. The 6’0/150 lbs. native of Parker, Colorado, had a goal in all four games, which included two goals in a 4-1 win over the Clearwater Ice Storm and a hat-trick and assist in a 7-0 win over Central Florida.

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Liam Gritsuk, Naperville Sabres
Naperville Sabres 16U defenseman Liam Gritsuk, 16, had seven points in four games in October. The 5’7/138 lbs. native of New Lenox, Illinois, had three points in a 4-1 win over the McKinney North Stars and two assists apiece in wins over Nashville and Ontario.

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Ryan Burke, Littleton Hawks
Burke, 15, posted shutouts in both of his NAPHL starts in October for the undefeated Hawks. The 6’0/155 lbs. native of Parker, Colorado, posted a 3-0 shutout in a win over the Lansing Spartans and a 7-0 shutout of the Central Florida Hockey Club.

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Slava Tugolukov, Dallas Penguins
Dallas Peguins 14U forward Slava Tugolukov, 14, had nine points in four games during the October event. The 5’10/165 lbs. native of Coppell, Texas had six goals and three assists, which included a four point effort and hat-trick in a 7-0 win over the South Florida Golden Wolves and another hat-trick in a 5-2 win over the Geneva Cyclones

Janesville Jets 14U defenseman Preston Uttech, 14, had four points in four games during the October event. The 5’7/133 lbs. native of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin had a goal and an assist in a 14-0 win over Nashville and a goal and an assist in a 10-win over the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights.

Craven, 13, posted a shutout in both of his starts during the October event. The 5’8/140 lbs. native of Verona, Wisconsin was in goal for a 14-0 shuout of the Nashville Jr. Predators and a 10-0 shutout of the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights.
