Meijer AAA 18U forward Dicker signs NAHL tender
March 5, 2019
The Meijer AAA hockey organization of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is pleased to announce that 18U forward Brendan Dicker has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Minot Minotauros of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Dicker, 17, is in his second full season playing for the Meijer AAA organization in the NAPHL. The 6’3/190 lbs. native of Clarkston, Michgan, was one of key contributors for the Meijer AAA 18U team this season.
During the regular season, he recorded 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) in 16 games played. He stepped up his game in the Dixon Cup Playoffs as he tied for the team lead in scoring with five points in five games played, helping his team all the way to the Dixon Cup Championship Game.
Last season, Dicker played for the Meijer AAA 16U team where he had four points in 16 NAPHL games and 23 points in 56 games overall.
He is the fourth player from the Meijer AAA 18U team who has signed an NAHL tender so far this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2019.
