Elite Hockey Program 18U forward Lee signs NAHL tender
November 8, 2017

The Elite Hockey Program is proud to announce that 18U forward Jin Lee has signed an NAHL tender with the Philadelphia Rebels of the NAHL’s East Division.
Lee, 17, is a 6’0/170 lbs. native of Pearl River, New York, New Jersey. He is currently 1st on the team with 36 points in 37 games. Lee also serves as one of the teams assistant captains. In 8 NAPHL games this season, he has recorded 13 points.
This isn’t Lee’s first experience in the NAPHL, as during the 2016-17 season he played for the New York Aviators 16U team.
“Jin was one of the players who we had very high expectations for when he committed to play for the Elite Hockey Program,” stated 18U Head Coach Luke Curadi, a former player for Philadelphia Rebels Head Coach Joe Coombs. “In the past two months, he has taken his game to another level. He’s shown a lot of positive qualities that you’d expect from a high level player; things like competing harder than everyone and refusal to be stopped, making the big play in the big moment, wanting to win at all costs. Most importantly the Rebels are getting a very honest and coachable person which is paramount in all young men.”
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 5, 2018.
