December 17, 2015

The Pikes Peak Miners, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that forward and leading scorer Ethan Daniels has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Wildcats compete in the NAHL’s South Division.
Daniels, 17, is in his second season playing in the NAPHL for the Miners organization and first season with the 18U team. He currently leads the Miners in scoring with 23 points through the first 20 games of the season, which includes 12 goals and 11 assists.
His 12 goals is tied for 6th in the NAPHL’s 18U Division and his 23 points are tied for 8th.
The native of Fairbanks, AK played for the Pikes Peak Miners 16U team in the NAPHL last season. Daniels (5’11/170) had five points in 12 games played a one point in four playoff games.
During the last event in Blaine earlier in December, Daniels had six points in five games played as the Miners went 3-2. The Miners are currently in a tie for 8th place in the 18U Division.
Daniels is the 3rd player from the Miners 18U team to sign an NAHL tender this season, joining Brendan Doyle (Topeka) and Preston Weeks (Kenai River).
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held in June of 2016.
