Omaha 16U forward Brumm signs NAHL tender
January 2, 2014
The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League, are pleased to announce that 16U forward David Brumm has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minnesota Magicians. The Magicians compete in the Midwest Division of the NAHL.
Brumm, who is a 16-year-old from Maple Grove, Minnesota, is in his first season with the Omaha AAA organization. To date this season, the 6’2/150 lbs. forward has amassed 38 goals and 39 assists for 77 points to go along with 40 PIM in 52 games overall.
In NAPHL competition, Brumm has scored 35 points (15 goals, 20 assists) in just 15 games played this season. This past weekend at the fifth NAPHL event in Oxford, Ohio, Brumm totaled 13 points in five games played, which included five goals and eight assists as Omaha went 5-0, outscoring their opponents 60-1.
Brumm becomes the sixth player this season from the Omaha AAA Hockey Club to sign an NAHL Tender.
He joins 16U teammate Matt Pulver (Fairbanks) along with 18U players Tyler Doyle (Topeka), Mason Krueger (Corpus Christi), Ryan Cagnoni (Corpus Christi) and Tycho Falk (Coulee Region).
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 3, 2014.
