SHOW League concludes first event in New Hampshire

The SHOW League wrapped up their first event of the season as the 18U teams played one final game on Monday.

The games were played in cooperation with the NA3HL East Division Showcase, which also took place on Monday at the Tri Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, NH.

The next SHOW Leauge event of the 2023-24 season will take place from December 15-18 at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. It will be played in cooperation with the 2023 NA3HL Showcase.

Day 4 recaps

18U SHOW: The SISU Thunderbirds won 4-1 against the Pacific Ridge Hockey Club. Nathaniel Novotny netted two goals and netminder Nicholas Nanberg stopped 32 shots. The Utah Jr. Mustangs (Blue) took a 4-2 win over Denver East. Ethan Baird accounted for two assists and Nixton Cummings turned away 14 shots. The Tri-Valley Hockey Association went on full offensive attack mode in a 7-0 win over Monument Hockey Academy. Kai Regan netted a hat trick while netminder Joshua Stevens posted a 15 shot shutout win. The New Hampshire Mountain Kings won 3-1 against the St. Louis Sting. Sam Neville scored two goals in the contest. The Texas Tigers picked up a 3-1 win against the Sea Hawks Hockey Club. Goaltender Tyler White stopped 21 shots in the win. The Philadelphia Little Flyers beat down the Utah Jr. Mustangs in a 7-0 shutout win. Darin O’Dell and Kyle Roepcke both had a tremendous performance recording 6 points each. Goaltender Max Harkins was lights out in net stopping all 12 shots. The Dallas Penguins blanked the Rose City Pats by a score of 3-0. Kristofer Pope and Austin Adams both added 2 points each, while netminder Billy Crisp III stopped 12 shots. In an overtime thriller, the New Jersey Titans edged the New Hampshire Monarchs, 4-3. Ilya Moskvin scored a goal in the second and extra frame. The Ontario Jr Reign shutout the New Mexico Ice Wolves, 4-0. Dylan Woodward had a two point game and netminder Ethan Sellwood stopped all 31 shots. The San Diego Jets silenced the Houston Aeros by a score of 6-0. Matthew Matsuda and Logan Wise both added a goal and an assist. Golden State Elite edged the Pekin Dragons by a final of 2-1. Goalie Jonathon McGinn stopped 41 of the shots he faced in the win.

The SHOW is a collection of Tier I and Tier II organizations from all over North America that compete at the Tier I level at NAPHL events. It also includes teams from some of the strongest Tier II leagues in the United States. This event includes all 18U, 16U and 14U teams in the first match-ups of the season.

Since the inception of the SHOW League there have been an increased number of opportunities for players at the NAHL, NA3HL, and T1ER Leagues. The internal exposure elements inclusive of an exclusive tendering system and the strategically schedule events have proven to be very beneficial to the players competing in the SHOW League.
