FALL League enters final day of season

The NAPHL FALL League Playoffs continued on Saturday at the Super Rink in Blaine, MN, with each team playing in their third game.

Sunday marks the final day of the season for the FALL League with each team playing one more round-robin game, followed by the Championship games in the afternoon.

10 teams at the 18U and 16U level will compete for the title as this weekend will be an exciting conclusion to three very competitive events. This championship is scheduled alongside the T1ER Pre-Tender Release Showcase creates an exciting atmosphere that maximizes exposure for the athletes.

Each FALL League team will play four round-robin games with the top two teams in both the 16 and 18U Divisions advancing to the Championship Game on Sunday night.

Day 2 Recaps

FALL 16U: The Corpus Christi IceRays took a 4-2 win after a strong second and third period to beat the Chippewa Steel. Samuel Misak and Terrance Levasseur both scored twice and goaltender Matus Ivanis stopped 46 shots. The Fairbanks Ice Dogs netted four goals in the third which got them a 6-2 win over the Kenai River Brown Bears. Owen Nelson and James Olson both had a three point game as goalie Chase Jerdee stopped 23 tries on net. The Odessa Jackalopes won 5-3 against the Austin Bruins. Thomas Kaltenbach scored twice and goaltender Owen Debbert stopped 32 shots. A third period goal from Bjorn Bahneman sent the Janesville Jets over the Minnesota Wilderness by a score of 2-1. Goaltender Ethan Burkard took the win in net. In a high scoring game, the Wisconsin Windigo netted four goals in the third to take a 7-6 win over the St. Cloud Norsemen. Connor Arko had a 5 point night with three goals and two assists. Cooper Flachs earned the win in net stopping 32 shots. 

FALL 18U: The Fairbanks Ice Dogs picked up a 6-1 win over the St. Cloud Norsemen. Andrew Linquist scored twice and Andrew Saxe stopped 15 shots on net. The Corpus Christi IceRays took an overtime win against the Janesville Jets, 3-2. Simon Mayes netted the game winning overtime goal and goalie Dalton Elliot got the win in net. The Odessa Jackalopes shutout the Chippewa Steel, 2-0. John Vail and Colton Holzer both scored while Tyler Coglitore stopped 39 shots. The Kenai River Brown Bears got an overtime win against the Minnesota Wilderness 2-1. Heath Nelson scored the overtime winner and Goalie Ryder Miskovich stopped 26 shots. The Austin Bruins won 4-3 against the Wisconsin Windigo. Connor Pirsig totalled three points and goaltender Xander Carter-Kleven got the win in net.
