Titans 18U duo of Sidarovich and Karlsson sign NAHL tenders

January 3, 2023

The New Jersey Jr. Titans, proud members of the T1ER League of the NAPHL have announced the two 18U players, forward Arhip Sidarovich and defenseman Lucas Karlsson, have both signed NAHL tenders with the New Jersey Titans NAHL team.

Sidarovich, 18, has 29 total points (19 goals and 10 assists) in a combined 17 NAPHL and AYHL games this season. The 6’0”,175 lb. native of Minsk, BLR has appeared in two games earlier in the season for the NAHL Titans.

The 6’3”, 195 lb. Karlsson has a total of 12 points in combined 19 NAPHL and AYHL games this season. The 17-year-old left-handed shot is a resident of Frederick, MD.

“Arhip is an extremely talented young forward,” said Titans head coach and general manager Craig Doremus. “Arhip has elite level vision, playmaking and scoring ability.  He has had a really strong start to the season with our midget program and was very effective in his couple of games with us an affiliate player.  We are excited to have him under our umbrella.  We think he has a bright future with our NAHL team, and we are excited to get to work with him daily with his player development path.”

“This was an extra special one as we have gotten to know Lucas for a quite a few years now with his brother being a big part of our program the past two years and helping to bring a Robertson Cup to New Jersey.  Lucas has been on the ice with our team quite a few times over the past few years and his game has continued to grow.  Lucas joined our midget program this season and has been a big impact player on the blueline all year long.  His game has really grown and taken off.  He is able to control the game defensively and impose his will with his size and strength.  We are excited to have him in our family and we look forward to his future with the NAHL club,” said Doremus.

“The New Jersey Titans Midget program continues to advance players from within the program,” stated Titans President and U18 Head Coach George Haviland. “Arhip and Lucas are the latest two guys to be rewarded for their work. Our Midget program is our feeder program to our Titans NAHL team and these two guys are the latest to be given opportunity to play with our top athletes. Arhip is a super gifted forward with off the chart offensive abilities combined with his scoring touch, makes him a no-brainer Tender for our NAHL Titans team he is a for sure a prospect,” said Haviland.

“Lucas is a smooth skater that defends very, very well combined with his offensive abilities makes him a real future prospect for our Titans NAHL team,” concluded Haviland.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
