Day 2 in Philly full of T1ER and SHOW League action

The seventh NAPHL event of the 2022-23 season continued on Saturday at the Aston Ice Works in Aston, PA, as the 18U and 16U SHOW League teams took to the ice in addition to the East Division T1ER teams.

The T1ER and SHOW 18U and 16U teams take to the ice on Day 3 of the event on Sunday.

This is the seventh NAPHL T1ER event and the second SHOW event of the 2022-23 season, which is the 14th season of the NAPHL.

The majority of East Division teams have played 7-8 league games to date, which came back during the NAHL Showcase in September and the regional event in New Jersey.

Day 2 Recaps

18U TIER: The Northeast Generals edged the New Hampshire Avalanche in a 2-1 score. Owen Fleming and Ryan Boysen both scored in the win. Cade Rose took the win in net for the Generals. The New Jersey Jr. Titans shutout the Maine Nordiques in a 5-0 contest. Dario Sarcino netted a hat-trick and Jason Towindo handed out 3 assists. Ryan Henry earned backstopped 31 shots in the shutout win. The Palmyra Black Knights edged the Philadelphia Hockey Club, 2-1. Sean Patton added 2 points and netminder Brayden Schoch picked up the win in net. The Philadelphia Little Flyers took a 4-1 win against CP Dynamo. Hunter Hayes netted two goals and Zach Crain added 2 points. Goaltender Jake Schunke only allowed one goal on 23 shots. The Philadelphia Little Flyers kept the Palmyra Black Knights off the scoresheet in a 5-0 score. Connor Patton added 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists. Michael Manzi turned away all 14 shots he saw in the win. The New Jersey Jr. Titans blanked the New Hampshire Avalanche in a 4-0 final. Dawson Gregatis stopped all 26 shots on his way to the shutout win. The Maine Nordiques topped the Northeast Generals 7-1. Jace Koeingsmark netted two goals and Grant Dietz handed out two assists. Braxton Castango earned the win in net. CP Dynamo took down the Philadelphia Hockey Club, 5-1. Ryan Dickinson found the back of the net twice and goaltender Luca Polsinelli picked up the win in net. 

16U TIER: The New Hampshire Avalanche shut out the Northeast Generals in a 6-0 final. Jake Tash added 3 helpers and Brady Gravell netted two goals. Goaltender Nicholas Warren took the win in net. The New Jersey Jr. Titans defeated the Maine Nordiques, 3-1. Conor Gagnon had a two point game with a goal and an assist. The Philadelphia Hockey Club took a close win over the Palmyra Black Knights, 1-0. Domenic Riccardi scored the games only goal and goaltender Cole Werthman took the win stopping all 37 shots he faced. 

18U SHOW: The Chicago Hawks blanked the New Jersey Jr. Titans Elite in an 8-0 game. Leo Kotor and JP Teichmann both added 3 points. Cooper Darovic earned the shutout stopping 17 shots. The Highland Park Falcons edged past the Philadelphia Little Flyers in a 2-1 score. CJ Meo and Jamie Kaufman both scored in the win. The New Jersey Jr. Titans Prep were shutout by the Northwest Chargers, 3-0. Goaltender Alexander Conley stopped all 20 shots on his way to the shutout win. The Maine Nordiques Prep team took a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Jets. Two goals were scored by Cameron DiLuzio for the Nordiques. The Orland Park Vikings defeated the Jersey Whalers 5-2. Jacob Mish scored twice in the win and netminder Luka Krstulovich stopped 15 shots. 

16U TIER: The Philadelphia Little Flyers defeated CP Dynamo 4-1. Luke Tomasic had a big game with 3 points including 1 goal and 2 assists. Henry Goosen picked up the win in net stopping 14 shots. The Chicago Jets battled back in the third after trailing all game to even the game forcing a shootout where they won 4-3 over the Philadelphia Little Flyers 15U squad. Nicholas Scavone and Liam Keohane both scored in the shootout for the win. The Orland Park Vikings shutout the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, 7-0. Zachary Beranek and Brendan Casey both recorded a two point night. Goaltender Max Cook posted a 21 shot shutout. The Florida Jr. Everblades shutout the Highland Park Falcons 3-0. Maksim Paulikas added two points and Chase O’Dea earned the shutout. The Chicago Hawks took a big win over the New Jersey Titans 6-1. Kyle Alpe added 3 assists and Bobby Barrett added two points as well. Dacoda Jones earned the win in net.
