T1ER 15U, 14U teams conclude play on Sunday in Blaine

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) continued with Day 3 of the event at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota on Sunday, October 16th for the second event of the 2022-23 NAPHL T1ER League. The 2022 FALL League Championship also continued on Sunday with each team playing one more final round-robin game.

The T1ER 15U and 14U teams each played their final game on Sunday morning, while Sunday afternoon as fill with T1ER 18U and 16U games and also the final FALL League Championship round-robin games. The Championship games are set and scheduled for Monday, October 17th.

Day 3 Recaps

14U Division: Arizona Bobcats goaltender Dylan Hanson earned the shutout win in a 8-0 final against the Ontario Jr. Reign. Forward Enzo Gisler scored a hat-trick and Benjamin Polanco scored a goal and three assists. The Esmark Stars broke a tied game in the second period scoring two goals then another in the third for a 4-1 win over Biggby Coffee AAA. Spencer Goehring scored twice while Jack Johnson took the win in net. The Tri State Spartans topped the Northwest Stars in a 7-2 final score. Harper Sullivan totalled 4 points with 2 goals and 2 assists in the win. The Indy Jr. Fuel defeated CarShield AAA 4-1. Nathan Apple added a goal and assist in the contest. 

15U Division: The Northwest Stars defeated the Philadelphia Hockey Club in a 5-1 game. Defenseman Anthony Eertmoed scored 2 goals and added an assist, and Cooper Hankins added a goal and two assists. The Vegas Jr. Golden Knights won 5-2 against the Janesville Jets. Gavin Smith added 3 points with 2 goals and 1 assist. The Valley Forge Minutemen shutout the Colorado Springs Tigers in a 3-0 game. Goaltender Jacob Aranda stopped all of the 26 shots that he faced. Biggby Coffee AAA picked up a 5-2 win over the Tri State Spartans. Forward Brayden Sainato found the back of the net twice and added an assist. CarShield AAA added four goals in the third period to take a 5-3 win over the Arizona Bobcats. Matty Muenz handed out three helpers and Miles Jensen picked up the win in net. The Philadelphia Little Flyers took down the Ontario Jr. Reign by a final score of 13-1. Micheal Joyce and Braeden Graham both totalled 5 points and goalie Marco Nagy stopped 15 shots in the win. The Esmark Stars won 4-2 over the New Jersey Jr. Titans. Carter Emp, Vladyslav Bomaziuk, Emmet McClaine and Logan Pielech all scored in the game. 

16U Division: The Northeast Generals defeated the Arizona Bobcats by a score of 3-2  in a thrilling matter as this game needed extra time to decide the winner. Northeast was led by Will Huber who scored 2 goals including the game winner, while Landon Blaine turned away 41 of 43 shots. The Maine Nordiques 16U Prep defeated the Minnesota Magicians by a score of 8-3. Maine was led by Sullivan Swiersz as he scored 4 goals in the contest. The Esmark Stars took down Team Alaska by a score of 4-0. Hleb Subach got the win for the Stars between the pipes, stopping all 23 shots in which he faced. The Indy Jr. Fuel defeated the Ontario Jr. Reign by a score of 3-0. Sam Burcal turned away all 9 shots to record the shutout. Carshield defeated Northwest by a score of 8-1. Logan Stawizynski tallied 4 goals within the game to help carshield get the victory. Biggby took down Omaha in a shootout by a score of 3-2. Matthew Brick had 2 points in the matchup and Gage Dieugenio was the winning goaltender for Biggby stopping 18 of 20 shots. The Madison Capitols defeated the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights by a score of 5-0. Jace Knorle recorded a shutout for the Capitols. The Colorado Springs Tigers defeated the Tri State Spartans in Overtime by a score of 4-3. Brandon Mcllhany scored the game winning goal for the Tigers. The Green Giants picked up a 4-1 victory over Team Alaska. Eugene Wegleitner III, Landon Swenson, Ryan Kapphahn, and Calvin Noha were the goal scorers for the Green Giants. 

18U Division: The Indy Jr. Fuel took down the Ontario Jr. Reign in a 7-1 game. Drew Spaulding put on a show scoring 5 goals. The Esmark Stars defeated Team Alaska by a wide margin in a 2-11 final score. Jackson Furman added 4 points, Ian Norkevicus had 5 assists and Brody Simko scored 4 goals. CarShield AAA won 9-1 against the Northwest Stars. Forward Justin Kerr scored two goals and two assists. The Madison Capitols put up big numbers in a 10-1 win over the Vegas Jr. Golden Knights. Goalie Seamus Keohane was near perfect in the game and Carter Walby totalled 4 points. The United Hockey Federation picked up a 5-1 victory over the Arizona Bobcats. Drew Jensen added 2 points and goaltender Brady Marsh stopped 24 of the 25 shots he saw. The Minnesota Magicians earned a 4-2 win against the Maine Nordiques. Forward Graham Erickson found the back of the net twice in the game. Biggby Coffee AAA evened the game in the third period then added two more goals for a 5-3 win over Omaha Mastery AAA. Forward Bryce Boucher scored twice in the game. The Palmyra Black Knights added a 4-1 win over the Northeast Generals. Keegan Shearer, Logan Myers and Charlie Davis all had a 3 point game. Jacob Morgan led the Lincoln Stars to a 5-0 win over the New Jersey Jr. Titans after stopping all 13 shots he faced in the shutout. Forward Mike Baran added 3 helpers in the game. The Tri State Spartans added two goals in the third to take a 4-2 win over the Colorado Springs Tigers. Jeff Silvon had a two goal game scoring the first goal and the go ahead goal for Spartans. Team Alaska edged the Green Giants in a 4-3 final. Josh Serino netted the game-winning goal and Gavin Black netted two goals. Omaha Mastery AAA took a 3-2 overtime win over the Moose. Gabe Kenne scored a goal just thirty five seconds into the extra frame to take the win for Omaha. The Esmark Stars topped the Northwest Stars 3-1 after scoring a goal in each period. Aaron Stawiarski, Wesley Schwarzmiller and Derek Pietrzyk all scored. CarShield AAA took down the Tri State Spartans in a 5-2 final score. Tyler Dale added 3 points with 2 goals and 2 assists. Colorado Springs Tigers edged the Indy Jr. Fuel, 4-3 with a late goal from Cai Robinson. Robinson netted two goals in the contest and Finn Theriault added two assists. The Voyageurs snuck past the Madison Capitols in a 5-4 final score. Ben Spainer scored the game winning goal and added another for 2 on the night. The Walleye took down the Ontario Jr. Reign 5-2. Ryan Behl (2pts), Reece Gornseth (3pts), Mason Wanka (4pts), and Teagan Dodge (4pts) all had multiple point nights. 

16U FALL: The Fairbanks Ice Dogs defeated the Minnesota Wilderness in a 5-2 game. Logan Montpetit netted a hat-trick. St. Clouse Norsemen took an overtime win, 4-3, against the Austin Bruins. Carson Wendorff scored the extra frame goal to take the win. Kenai River Brown Bears took a 5-3 victory against the Chippewa Steel. Jack Engberg scored two goals, Kaiden Gordon and Rory Cope-Robinson both added two assists. The Janesville Jets pushed past the Wisconsin Windigo, 4-2. Elliot Yirkovsky scored twice and Eli Kassler recorded two points. 

18U FALL: The Wisconsin Windigo edged the Chippewa Steel in a 3-2 game where all the goals were scored in the first period. Blake Bauerly set up two goals with his two assists and Goaltender Isaiah Anderson took the win in net. The Austin Bruins took an overtime win over the Kenai River Brown Bears, 3-2. Jacob Brown scored at 2:48 in the extra frame to get Austin the win. The St. Cloud Norsemen added two goals in the third period to take a 4-2 win over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Ethan Bernier added 3 points with 2 goals and 1 assist, while goalie Isaiah Paulnock stopped 24 of 26 shots. The Janesville Jets silenced the Minnesota Wilderness in a 6-0 score. Joseph Gerbitz and Alex Pottratz both scored 2 goals as both netminders Blake Craven and Aiden Tepper-Engh stopped all the shots they saw.
