Rebels forward Lundy makes NCAA DI commitment

John Lundy played in the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament and also played in the NAPHL during the 2016-17 season.

The Jamestown Rebels, formerly of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward John Lundy has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for American International College in Atlantic Hockey.

Lundy, 21, just completed his second season playing in the NAHL and third season overall of junior hockey. The 5’9/164 lbs. native of Brooklyn, NY, had his best career season to date in 2021-22 with the Rebels.

Lundy appeared in all 60 regular season games and led the Rebels in scoring with 57 points (32 goals, 25 assists). His 32 goals ranked 6th in the NAHL during the 2021-22 season. Lundy was named to the NAHL’s All-East Division Team and was also selected to and played in the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the East Division Team where he had two points in two games played during the event.

During the 2020-21 season, Lundy played for the Amarillo Bulls and the Austin Bruins. He began the season with Amarillo, scoring five points in eight games. He was then traded to the Bruins, where he had 18 points in 33 games played.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Lundy did see action in the NAPHL during the 2016-17 season with the New York Aviators 16U team. He also spent time with the North Jersey Avalanche.
