Biggby Coffee 18U defenseman Anderson signs NAHL tender

February 3, 2022

Parker Anderson played in the NAPHL 16U All-Star Game during the 2019-20 season.

Biggby Coffee AAA Hockey, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Parker Anderson has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL’s Central Division.

Anderson, 18, actually began the 2021-22 season playing in the NAHL where he made his junior hockey debut with the El Paso Rhinos at the NAHL Showcase.

The 5’11/162 lbs. native of Plymouth, MI, then joined the Biggby 18U team later in the event, recording four points in his first four NAPHL games. Overall during the 2021-22 season with Biggby, Anderson lead the team in scoring for defensemen with 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 20 NAPHL games played.

In 32 games overall with Biggby this season, Anderson has 30 points.

Anderson made his debut with the Bruins as an affiliate player in a game on January 1, 2022.

This is Anderson’s third season of playing in the NAPHL. He had played previously in the league with the Meijer AAA 16U team during the 2019-20 season and the Meijer AAA 15U team during the 2018-19 season.

Anderson was selected to and played in the 2019-20 NAPHL 16U All-Star game where he recorded three points.

He is the third member of the Biggby Coffee 18U team who has signed an NAHL tender so far this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
