NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for December

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of December. The players were selected based upon their performance during the NAPHL regular season games played in December at the events in Middletown, NJ and Blaine, Minnesota, in addition to several regular regional season games played at NAPHL team arenas.

 

T1ER 18U

Forward: Max Mudge, Northwest Stars – Mudge, 18, was among seven NAPHL 18U players who had 14 points in the month of December, which included 4 goals and 10 assists in 8 games played. The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Burien, WA, registed at least a point in seven of the eight games and had four multi-point games.

Defense: Regan Kallis, Esmark Stars – Kallis, 18, had a big month as he recorded 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) in eight games played. The 5’9/155 lbs. native of St. Albert, AB, had a five-game point streak during the month and three multi-point games.

Goalie: Rhys Netherton, Northwest Stars – Netherton, 18, went a perfect 6-0 in the month of December. The 6’0/185 lbs. native of Kelowna, BC, allowed just seven goals in six starts, stopping 146 of a possible 153 shots, which was good for a 1.35 goals against average and a .954 save percentage.

 

T1ER 16U

Forward: Trace Day, Maine Nordiques – Day, 16, had a huge month of December, recording 17 points in 8 games played. The 6’1/181 lbs. native of Mesa, AZ, recorded nine goals and eight assists and had five multi-point games during the month.

Defense: Gavin O’Hara, Vegas Jr. Golden Knights – O’Hara, 16, continued his great season with a solid month of December. The 6’3/175 lbs. native of Chicago, IL, had 12 points in eight games played during the month, which included 8 goals and 4 assists. O’Hara, who is 2nd among all NAPHL 16U defenseman in scoring, had three multi-point games.

Goalie: Owen Byers, Esmark Stars – Byers, 15, was perfect in both starts in December. The 6’0/145 lbs. native of Barrie, ON, posted shutouts in both starts in December, which included wins over Madison and Ontario

 

T1ER 15U

Forward: Teddy Richardson, CarShield AAA – Richardson, 15, had another impressive month in December. The 6’0/165 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, posted 8 points in four games played during the month, which included two multi-point games and five goals. He currently leads all NAPHL 15U players in scoring with 33 points in 19 games played.

Defense: Marty McAuley, Reapers Hockey Association – McAuley, 15, helped the Reapers stay atop the standings with a solid month. The 5’9/150 lbs. native of Glenview, IL, had six points in seven games played in December. He is currently 1st among 15U defensemen in scoring so far this season with 18 points in 24 games played.

Goalie: Charlie Durkin, Reapers Hockey Association – Durkin, 15, played in three games during the month of December and posted shutouts in all three games. The 5’11/145 lbs. native of Glencoe, IL, stopped 37 shots in three games during the month, which included shutouts of Des Moines, New Jersey, and Tri State.

 

T1ER 14U

Forward: Jaxson Andrews, Indy Jr. Fuel – Andrews, 14, had a huge month of December, recording 14 points in four games played. The 5’7/148 lbs. native of Fishers, IN, had two four-point games and two three-point games during the month, which included five goals and nine assists.

Defense: Trey Dopson, Esmark Stars – Dopson, 14, put up eight games in four games during the month of December. The 5’3/115 lbs. native of Canonsburg, PA, had two goals and six assists during the month and also had three multi-point games.

Goalie: Samuel DiBlasi, Biggby Coffee – Di Blasi, 14, posted shutouts in both his appearances in December. The 5’9/138 lbs. native of Saginaw, MI, stopped all 23 shots he faced in shutouts of the Northwest Stars and Colorado Springs Tigers.
