Reapers 18U forward Wilson signs NAHL tender

January 5, 2022

The Reapers Hockey Association of the NAPHL are pleased to announce that 18U forward Jaxon Wilson has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL’s South Division.

Wilson, 17, is in his first season playing for the Reapers organization and second season overall in the NAPHL. The 5’6/150 lbs. native of Mundelien, IL, is currently leading the Reapers 18U team in scoring so far this season with 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 20 games played.

Wilson had a 15-game point streak going at one point this season, which extended from September 19th through December 18th. He is currently tied for 8th in NAPHL 18U scoring.

Prior to playing for the Reapers, Wilson previously played in the NAPHL for the Florida Alliance 16U team during the 2019-20 season where he recorded 14 points in 15 games played.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
