NAPHL concludes Showcase in New Jersey

The seventh NAPHL event of the 2021-22 regular season concluded on Sunday, December 5th at the Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, New Jersey with the second T1ER League Eastern Conference event of the season.

Day 3 Highlights

18U Division: The New Jersey Jr. Titans opened the day with a dominant 7-1 win over the East Coast Spartans. Ethan Wongus had two goals and three assists and Justin Solovey had one goal and four assists in the win. The Maine Nordiques picked up a 2-1 overtime win over the New Hampshire Avalanche as Cameron Couper scored the overtime-winner on a breakaway. The Mercer Chiefs got a 17-save shutout from Jack Borek in a 5-0 win over the 95 Giants. Magnus Gadowsky scored two goals in the win. In the final game, it was a dominant performance for the Philadelphia Little Flyers in a 10-1 win over New Jersey. Eight different players lit the lamp for the Little Flyers and Hunter Hayes had two goals and two assists in the win.

16U Division: In the opening game of the morning, the Mercer Chiefs got two goals from Elian Estulin and 24 saves from Shawn Kline in a tough 5-3 win over the New Hampshire Avalanche. Next, the Dallas Penguins picked up a big 3-2 win over the East Coast Spartans as Henry Pinkerman had two goals and Connor Sanders made 29 saves in the win. The Maine Nordiques got a 21-save shutout from Jabe Breitzke and the lone goal from Ben Lees in a 1-0 win over New Jersey. In the final game, the Philadelphia Little Flyers got goals from five different players in a 5-4 win over the Mercer Chiefs. Mikey Tordone had the game-winner with just :24 seconds remaining in regulation.

Founded in 2009 and celebrating its 13th season in 2021-22, the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is the NAPHL is the premier training ground for development, exposure, and opportunity. During the 2021-22 season, the NAPHL will be made up of four different leagues: Tier 1, Fall, Showcase (Tier II), and Prep (High School).

To date, 25 NAPHL players have been tendered by NAHL teams for the 2022-23 season.
