NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for September
The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of September. The players were selected based upon their performance during the NAPHL regular season games played in September at the T1ER and FALL League events in Duluth and Blaine, MN.
T1ER 18U
Forward: Max Mudge, Northwest Stars – Mudge recorded a point in all four games in Blaine, which included three multi-point games. He had two goals and three assists in a 6-0 win over Chippewa and had the game-winning goal in a 9-2 win over New Hampsire.
Defense: Matt Pedersen, 95 Giants – Had eight points in five games in Blaine, which included six goals and two assists. Pedersen recorded a hat-trick in a 9-4 win over the Jersey Whalers and had three multi-point games.
Goalie: Matthew Syverson, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA – Allowed just one goal in two games, stopping 47 of 48 shots. Posted a 21-save shutout against the Maine Nordiques.
T1ER 16U
Forward: Sam Kartch, Northstar Knights – Kartch led all T1ER scorers with 11 points in four games in Blaine. That included three multi-point games, including three goals and three assists in a six-point game in a win over Tahoe Prep.
Defense: Jayden Veney, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA – Had six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in four games during the Blaine event. That included two game-winning goals in wins over Tahoe Prep and Janesville.
Goalie: Iannico Amaranto, Esmark Stars – Amaranto posted shutouts in both starts in Blaine, stopped all 44 shots he saw in two games. That included a 28-save shutout over Philadelphia and a 16-save shutout over Colorado Springs.
T1ER 15U
Forward: Carson Doxsey, Tri-State Spartans – Posted eight points (5 goals, 3 assists) in five games played in September. He recorded at least a point in four of the five games and had two multi-point games.
Defense: Aiden Jenks, Reapers Hockey Association – Tied for the team scoring lead in September with five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in four games played. He had at least a point in all four games and scored a goal in three consecutive games.
Goalie: Jack Houck, Reapers Hockey Association – Houck allowed just a single goal in two wins during the event in September. He stopped 46 of 47 shots and had a 20-save shutout in a 2-0 win over the Green Giants.
T1ER 14U
Forward: Filip Pliastos, Indy Jr. Fuel – Pliastos had eight points in four games during the event in Blaine, which included five goals and three assists. He recorded at least a point in all four games and had two, three-point games.
Defense: Julian Kemp, Esmark Stars – Kemp is 2nd in team scoring after one event as he put up five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in four games played in Blaine. That included a three-point game in a 6-5 OT win over the Polars on September 17th.
Goalie: Tyler Houle, Biggby Coffee – Houle went 2-0 at the event in Blaine, allowing just two goals in two starts and stopping 48 of 50 shots. That included a 25-save shutout of the Gray Ducks on September 18th.
FALL 18U
Forward: Brady Ingebritson, MN Magicians – Tied for the 18U scoring lead in September with 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in eight games played. That included three multi-point games, including a five-point outing in a win over Southern Minnesota on September 17th.
Defense: Tyler Lafferty, MN Magicians – Led all 18U defensemen with 10 points in 8 games played in September. That included recording at least a point in six of eight games and three, multi-point games.
Goalie: Noah McCrary, Janesville – McCrary allowed three goals in five games played in September, which included two shutouts. He stopped 73 of 76 shots, which was good for a .959 save percentage and 0.86 goals against average.
FALL 16U
Forward: Sam Jacobson, Southern Minnesota Bears – Was torrid in the month of September with 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in just eight games. He recorded multi-point games in all eight games and had a six-point outing in a win over Fairbanks on September 19th.
Defense: Ethan Hall, Southern Minnesota Bears – Hall had five points in four games in Blaine, which included a goal and four assists. He had two multi-point games as well.
Goalie: Mikah Nelson, Southern Minnesota Bears – Nelson posted a 4-0 record during the month of September and appeared in six total games. He stopped 82 of 93 shots during the month.
