The CarShield AAA hockey organization of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that 18U forward Kolton Watts has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the New Mexico Ice Wolves of the NAHL’s South Division.

Watts, 18, just completed his second season playing in the NAPHL and first with the CarShield AAA 18U team. In 13 NAPHL games this past season, the 6’1/205 lbs. native of Huntsville, AL, recorded 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) in 29 NAPHL regular season games.

He also added four points in four Dixon Cup Playoff games.

Overall in 63 games played during the 2020-21 season, Watts recorded 55 points, including 29 goals.

Watts spent a season in the NAPHL previous to CarShield with the Nashville Jr. Predators 16U team, recording 33 points in 20 games played.

He is the seventh player from the CarShield AAA 18U team who has signed an NAHL tener for the 2021-22 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
