Bigby Coffee 18U defenseman Bradfield signs NAHL tender
The Bigby Coffee AAA hockey club (formerly Meijer AAA) are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Dugan Bradfield has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Bradfield, 19, just completed his first season in the NAPHL in 2020-21, which was spent with the Meijer AAA 18U team. The 5’9/190 lbs. native of Traverse City, MI, appeared in 16 NAPHL regular season games and recorded four points. He also added two points in four Dixon Cup Playoff games.
Bradfield began the season in the NAHL, playing in three games with the Northeast Generals.
Overall in 41 games with Meijer AAA 18U during the 2020-21 season, Bradfield had 16 points.
He is the 9th player from the Meijer AAA 18U team this past season to sign an NAHL tender for the 2021-22 season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
