CarShield AAA 18U forward Kahl signs NAHL tender
The CarShield AAA hockey organization of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that 18U forward Nolan Kahl has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Corpus Christi IceRays in the NAHL’s South Division.
Kahl, 19, just completed his fourth and final season playing for CarShield in the NAPHL. The 5’11/195 lbs. native of Bethalto, IL, was 2nd in team scoring during the 2020-21 NAPHL regular season, recording 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists) in 27 NAPHL games.
Overall in 61 games played during the 2020-21 season, Kahl had 56 points as he helped CarShield AAA to a USA Hockey Nationals appearance.
During the 2019-20 season, Kahl had nine points in 12 NAPHL games for the CarShield AAA 18U team. He played the 2018-19 season with the CarShield 16U team, recording 14 points in 16 games played.
Overall in 55 career NAPHL regular season games, Kahl has recorded 43 points. He has also put up 17 career points in 16 career NAPHL playoff games.
He is the 6th player from the CarShield AAA 18U team who has signed an NAHL tender so far for the 2021-22 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
