CarShield AAA 18U forward Kerich signs NAHL tender
The CarShield AAA hockey organization of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) is pleased to announce that 18U forward Jackson Kerich has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Anchorage Wolverines of the NAHL’s Midwest Division.
Kerich, 18, is currently completing his second season with the CarShield 18U team and fourth season in the NAPHL overall. The 5’11/200 lbs. native of Anchorage, AK, appeared in 27 NAPHL regular season games during the 2020-21 campaign and recorded 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists).
Kerich also played the 2019-20 season with the CarShield AAA 18U team, recording six points in 16 NAPHL regular season games during that season.
Prior to playing for CarShield, Kerich played two seasons in the NAPHL for his hometown Alaska Oilers 16U and 15U teams from 2017 to 2019.
Overall in four NAPHL seasons, Kerich has appeared in 68 career NAPHL regular season games and recorded 39 points.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
