Showcase Division Peak Performers from January announced

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the Showcase Division standouts for the month of January. The players were selected based upon their performance at the ninth NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Blaine, Minnesota from January 16-19, 2021. Stats were based on ALL games played.

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Seth Dragojevic, Texas Tigers

Dragojevic, 17, who leads the 18U Showcase Division in scoring with 27 points in 12 games, had another solid event. The 5’11/190 lbs. native of Oakville, ON, had 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) in four games in Blaine.

#2 Star: Connor Hasse, Denver East

#3 Star: Ryan Coultrip, Tri Valley Blue Devils

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Jake Karp, Tri Valley Blue Devils

Karp, 17, had a good event in Blaine with six points in four games played. The 5’8/150 lbs. native of Menlo Park, CA, had a goal and five assists to go along with two multi-point games.

#2 Star: Jpseph Capra, Denver East

#3 Star: Luke Burnett, Texas Tigers

 

18U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – William Carney, Texas Tigers

Carney, 17, kept his perfect 2020-21 season record alive with two more wins in Blaine. The 5’10/150 lbs. native of Lafayette, LA, made 53 saves on 55 shots in two wins, including a 25-save shutout.

#2 Star: Brendan Klim, Tri Valley Blue Devils

#3 Star: Riley Mastowski, PHA Icemen

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Mike Gakhutishvili, Affton Americans

Gakhutishvili, 16, had six points in four games played in Blaine. The 5’8/157 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, had two goals and four assists to bring his NAPHL point total to nine for the 2020-21 season.

#2 Star: Samuel Anderson, Park City Ice Miners

#3 Star: Dominik Griessmer, Monument Hockey Academy

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Tyson Davenport, Affton Americans

Davenport, 16, who leads the Affton 16U team in scoring, added to his season totals with seven points in four games in Blaine. The 5’10/173 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, had two goals, five assists, and two, three-point games.

#2 Star: Gabe Hopkins, Park City Ice Miners

#3 Star: Tyler Book, Affton Americans

 

16U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Sam Schmidt, Affton Americans

Schmidt, 16, won both of his starts in Blaine. The 5’10/150 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, allowed just one goal in two games, stopping 38 of 39 shots in the process.

#2 Star: Ben Korol, PHA Icemen

#3 Star: Brenden Teczar, Texas Jr. Brahmas

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Joe Lawrence, Rose City Pats

Lawrence, 14, who leads the 14U Showcase Division in scoring, put up 8 points in four games in Blaine. The 5’2/125 lbs. native of Newbury Park, CA, had four goals and four assists and had two multi-point games.

#2 Star: Noah Frankel, Rose City Pats

#3 Star: Jack Morentine, California Wave

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Jayden DeGuzman, California Wave

DeGuzman, 13, picked up an assist in the four games in Blaine. The 5’6/113 lbs. native of Lakewood, CA, was playing in his first four NAPHL games.

#2 Star: Luca Mestrandrea, Rose City Pats

#3 Star: Isaac Kwon, California Wave

 

14U Showcase Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Dimitri Cain, Rose City Pats

Cain, 14, appeared in three games in Blaine and posted a 2-0-1 record. The 5’9/140 lbs. native of Camarillo, CA, allowed just four goals in the three games, stopping 61 of 65 shots.

#2 Star: Ashton Spector, California Wave

#3 Star: Eric Vargas, Rose City Pats
