NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for January

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of January.  The players were selected based upon their performance during the NAPHL regular season games played in January in Indianapolis, Indiana, and head-to-head games at team sites. Peak Performers are only to full-time NAPHL Tier 1 members.

 

18U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Brady Braun, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

Braun, 18, is currently the leading scorer in the NAPHL’s 18U Tier 1 Division with 35 points during the 2020-21 season. The 5’10/185 lbs. native of Fargo, ND, and Maine Nordiques tender had 12 points in six games played during the month of January.

#2 Star: Reece Brednich, Indy Jr. Fuel

#3 Star: Carter Casper, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

 

18U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Tyler Behl, Meijer AAA

Behl, 18, posted five points in six games played during the month of January. The 5’9/160 lbs. native of Allendale, MI and tender of the Shreveport Mudbugs has 20 points in 23 games played this season.

#2 Star: Brett Robsinon, CarShield AAA

#3 Star: Isaiah Gagerman, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

 

18U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Matt Smtih, CarShield AAA

Smith, 18, went 3-0 during the month of January. The 5’11/165 lbs. native of St. Louis, MO, and Springfield Jr. Blues tender, allowed just three goals on 57 shots during the month to win his second Peak Performer Award of the 2020-21 season.

#2 Star: Camden Pendleton, Colorado Springs Tigers

#3 Star: Nolan Suggs, Meijer AAA

 

16U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Liam Donovan, Indy Jr. Fuel

Donovan, 16, posted nine points in six games played during the month of January. The 5’10/190 lbs. native of Zionsville, IN, leads the 16U Jr. Fuel in scoring this season with 27 points in 23 games played.

#2 Star: Jake Richard, Florida Alliance AAA

#3 Star: Ben Winkelmann, CarShield AAA

 

16U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Sebastian Vogt, Esmark Stars

Vogt, 16, helped the Stars to a 2-2 record at the event in Indianapolis with four points in four games played, which included three assists in an 8-3 win over the Jr. Fuel. In 20 games played this season the 5’8/140 lbs. native of Bradenton, FL, has 10 points

#2 Star: Lawson Kimble, CarShield AAA

#3 Star: Tyler Williams, CarShield AAA

 

16U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Luke Romney, Florida Alliance AAA

Romney, 16, posted two shutouts in two appearances at the event in Indianapolis. The 6’1/170 lbs. native of Winter Garden, FL, made 16 saves in a shutout of the Jr. Fuel and 10 saves in a shutout of the Tri State Spartans.

#2 Star: Brady Govero, CarShield AAA

#3 Star: Jay Fairchild, Madison Capitols

 

15U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Cameron Duffany, Meijer AAA

Duffany, 15, put up seven points in four games played at the event in Indianapolis. This is the second Peak Performer Award this season for the 5’11/150 lbs. native of Brighton, MI, who is 2nd in NAPHL 15U scoring with 23 points in 16 games played.

#2 Star: Brendon Hammer, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

#3 Star: Brendan St. Julian, Tri State Spartans

 

15U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Aiden Yakovich, Esmark Stars

Esmark Stars 15U defenseman Aiden Yakovich, 15, had his best weekend of the season in Indianapolis, putting up three points in four games played. The 5’7/145 lbs. native of Moon, PA, had a point in three of the four games played.

#2 Star: Kayden Jones, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

#3 Star: Rory Shegan Siniawski, Esmark Stars

 

15U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Ian Amaranto, Esmark Stars

Amaranto, 16, picked up a pair of wins at the event in Indianapolis. The 5’11/155 lbs. native of Johnstown, PA, stopped 15 of 16 shots in a 3-1 win over Meijer and had a 13-save shutout in a 1-0 win over the Tri State Spartans.

#2 Star: Miller Wiese, Des Moines Buccaneers AAA

#3 Star: Riley Martin, Tri State Spartans

 

14U Apex Peak Performer (Offense) – Riley Fast, Meijer AAA

The NAPHL’s 14U leading scorer, Riley Fast, 14, was at it again in January. The 5’9/135 lbs. native of East Lansing, MI, had 10 points in four games at the event in Indianapolis, which included five goals and five assists.

#2 Star: Jake Thornton, Tri State Spartans

#3 Star: Carson Doxsey, Tri State Spartans

 

14U Apex Peak Performer (Defense) – Cole Hutchinson, Meijer AAA

Hutchinson, 14, picked up six points in four games at the event in Indianapolis. The 5’10/140 lbs. native of Lansing, MI, had a four-point game in a win over Des Moines and two points in a win over the Jr. Fuel.

#2 Star: Dominick Kamssu, Tri State Spartans

#3 Star: Luke McIntosh, Indy Jr. Fuel

 

14U Apex Peak Performer (Goaltender) – Connor Broderick, Tri State Spartans

Broderick, 14, posted two wins in two starts at the event in Indianapolis. The 5’10/130 lbs. native of Cincinnati, OH, had a 20-save shutout against the Indy Jr. Fuel and then made 11 saves in a win over Des Moines.

#3 Star: Zachary Jaakola, Meijer AAA
