Meijer AAA 18U forward Furstenau signs NAHL tender
The Meijer AAA hockey club of the NAPHL is pleased to announce that 18U forward Logan Furstenau has signed a North American Hockey League tender agreement with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the NAHL’s South Division.
Furstenau, 18, is in his third season playing in the NAPHL for the Meijer AAA organization. The 6’3/205 lbs. native of St. Clair, Michigan, has appeared in three NAPHL games so far during the 2020-21 season and recorded four points (1 goal, 3 assists).
Furstenau played in 16 NAPHL games for the Meijer AAA 18U team during the 2019-20 season and recorded 10 points. Overall in 47 games during the 2019-20 season he had 31 points.
During the 2018-19 season, he had two points in 12 NAPHL games.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
